The year 2011 was marked by the wave of Arab Spring that tipped several regimes. Real black swan, this break has not been anticipated by the Western countries and should revise their reading this geopolitical space. Driving forces unleashed by these uprisings have and continue to transform a society that was believed frozen. France, particularly well established in the Arab world is facing a repositioning of its foreign policy. Undoubtedly, the French presence in the region now takes a new dimension thanks to the protest movements that shook the Arab governments.
