HAL To Unveil 'Indian' aFGF Model At Aero India




A modified model of the Indian version of the Russian T-50 fifth generation fighter aircraft (aFGF) will be on display for the first time at Aero India 2013, starting on February 6. The picture on the left is from September last year - a 1:15.5 model of a single-seater aFGF modified by HAL. It is Likely que le same model will be on display at the show. Here's HAL's full press release on what they've got on display at Aero India this year:

[HAL's] strength in design, development and manufacture will be showcased through icts products falling on the up-coming Aero-India 2013. The major attractions of the pavilion include HAL's in-house designs Such as Light Combat Helicopter (LCH), "Rudra" the weaponised Advance Light Helicopter (ALH) and Intermediate Jet Trainer (IJT). "For the first time, we will present to the world of prospective multirole fighter glimpses (PMF) aussi known as Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft (aFGF). This is under co-development with the Russians, "says Dr. RK Tyagi, Chairman, HAL.

ALH Dhruv, LCH and Rudra (Mk 4 WSI) will be on display flying. Scale Models of Light Utility Helicopter, Hawk, Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) and Su-30 will be on display aussi. In addition, Pilotless Target Aircraft (Lakshya) Shakti engine, state-of-the-art avionics and accessories from various divisions of HAL are Being showcased.


The other specialties of the HAL pavilion include 3D video mapping of HTT-40, Dornier Glass cockpit, scale models of aerospace structures of GSLV MkII, GSLV Mk III and PSLV. The Rotary Wing Corner Will Provide visitors through the simulation & visual display, a helicopter view of the technologies, capabilities and competencies the built in the Company. There will be a holographic projection aussi depicting capabilities of LCA, Hawk, LUH and LCH [.]
